Trail Rebel Customs

Install Guide

Installation

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Most Trail Rebel pieces are designed for straightforward DIY installation. Here's what you need to know.

Tools you'll need

  • Trim removal tools or plastic pry bars
  • Phillips and flathead screwdrivers
  • Clean microfiber cloths
  • Patience and a cool garage

Dash covers & trim

Most dash pieces snap over the factory trim. Gently pry the original piece away from the dashboard starting at the edge, then align the Trail Rebel cover and press it into place until the clips seat. Do not force it — if it doesn't sit flush, double-check the orientation.

Mirror caps

Mirror caps typically pop off by hand or with light pressure from a trim tool. Work from the bottom edge, release the clips, and snap the painted cap on in the same orientation.

Before you start

  • Wash your hands and the Jeep interior to avoid transferring oils or dirt.
  • Lay a soft towel on the center console to protect surfaces while you work.
  • Take photos of the original layout before removing anything.
