I'm Melinda, the founder of Trail Rebel Customs. I'm a Navy veteran, a mom, a lifelong creator, and the kind of person who has never been very good at leaving things stock.
My love for Jeeps started with the freedom they represent. The trails, the people, the adventures, the wrong turns that somehow become the best stories. Over the years, that love grew into something much bigger than a hobby.
I have spent years exploring trails throughout Virginia, leading rides, helping new drivers build confidence, and learning what our rigs can really do. I'm a certified Trail Master with safety and recovery training, but some of the best lessons have come from getting muddy, breaking parts, solving problems, and figuring it out along the way.
Origin Story
How Trail Rebel Customs Began
Trail Rebel Customs started because I wanted something for my own Jeep that I could not find anywhere else.
I did not want another mass-produced accessory that looked like everyone else's. I wanted bold color, real detail, personality, and a finish that looked like it belonged on the vehicle.
So I started creating my own pieces.
One design became another. Then friends wanted something made for their rigs. Then strangers started asking where they could buy them. Before long, the idea became a business.
Trail Rebel Customs was built for people who see their Jeep as more than transportation. It is part of their personality, their escape, and sometimes their therapy.
Every build is designed to feel personal. Whether it is loud and unapologetic, dark and gritty, soft and glamorous, patriotic, wild, or completely custom, the goal is always the same.

I am proud to be a veteran-owned and woman-owned small business.
My time in the Navy taught me discipline, resilience, and how to keep moving when the plan falls apart. Motherhood taught me patience, determination, and how to build something meaningful while balancing real life behind the scenes.
My family is a huge part of why I keep pushing forward. I want my kids to see that it is never too late to chase an idea, learn a new skill, or create something completely your own.
Trail Rebel Customs is more than a product line to me. It is proof that passion can turn into purpose.
