The Process

Every Trail Rebel piece is hand-prepped, sprayed with premium automotive paint, printed with UV DTF ink, and cured under infrared lamps. No exposed vinyl wraps or peel-and-stick graphics — the artwork is UV transferred onto the painted surface, then sealed beneath automotive clear.
Step 01 — Base Coat
Real automotive paint.
Every piece starts with the same prep a body shop uses on your Jeep — scuff, clean, adhesion promoter, and a proper base coat. We spray premium automotive urethane paints, the same chemistry going onto hoods and fenders. That's why the color matches the vibe of a real paint job instead of looking like a printed sticker.

Step 02 — UV DTF Printing
Ink that becomes the surface.
Custom artwork — biohazards, splatter, bows, camo, whatever your theme calls for — is printed with UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) technology. Instead of soaking into a decal, the ink is flash-cured with ultraviolet light the moment it hits the film, then bonded directly onto the painted piece. The result: full color, razor-sharp edges, and detail down to a hairline.

Step 03 — Infrared Cure
Cured under infrared lamps.
Once the clear coat is laid down, every piece goes under short-wave infrared curing lamps. The IR heat drives the cure from the inside out, cross-linking the clear at a molecular level. It's the same process used in professional collision repair booths — and it's why our finishes come out hard, glossy, and chip-resistant instead of soft and gummy.
